In February 2021 Chemistry First will be conducting Round Robin, an Inter-Laboratory Study (ILS) to inform participating laboratories on results of a1 beta-casein testing in milk.

World Congress on Oils And Fats, Sydney 2020
Reflecting on start of the year. CF in collaboration with UTS presented a poster in Sydney at the World Congress on Oils and Fats.
In February 2019 the CF staff will be attending the GRDC Research Update, Wagga Wagga NSW
CF is particularly interested in Canola .
There will be an update on new varieties from NSW DPI.
ECSA HC workshop in Nairobi
On 13-16 December 2016 the Chemistry First attended a workshop in Nairobi, Kenya on Harmonisation of Chemistry Methods for the Analysis of Fortified Foods. The workshop was organised by ECSA HC and GAIN Health with financial support of USAID.
Steering committee of the workshop - Phillip Makhumula (facilitator), Cyprian Kabbis (coordinator), Carol Tom (consultant), Corey Luthringer (GAIN organiser), Doreen Marandu (ECSA HC organiser) and Aziz Mukota (coordinator) with Alex Oglobline (CF) in the middle.
It was a great experience to meet the delegates from 13 African countries, the chemistry elite, many with Doctorate Degrees from the leading American, Australian and European universities.
The workshop was very intense and focused on updating the ECSA’s existing manual of analytical chemistry methods and on developing a roadmap for the regulatory approval of new methods and instruments.
